Session Roaming with SMARTcards available [08-09-2005] LOGiCO releases version 2.1. which provides a number of excellent improvements. It’s valid for PC environments, thin client sites as well as for heterogeneous environments. Some of the new features in release 2.1 are: Multiple-session handling, support for Linux (thin clients), certificate logon, PUK change, Thin Client logon for Microsoft Terminal Server,and the ability to define default entries for system logon for Microsoft Windows.
All in one the LOGiCO smart card solutions now also offer the following advantages:
Security - Security credentials are safely stored on the card and will be called after successful authentication by the user with PIN or biometrics for system access. Efficiency - Card-based authentication facilitates a very fast logon and reconnection within a few seconds. Central remote administration - Each system access by a smart card can be traced and shown in a central event log. It is comprehensible when, where and by whom any logon activity has been preformed or tried. Hot seating - The solution for permanently changing workstations is a major requirement not only to the Citrix MetaFrame system environment. Hotseating provides the automatic transfer of the actual session from one workstation to the next one. Various systems are supported, including: Microsoft Windows and Citrix MetaFrame, both of them also within Terminal Server sessions. The client software may be installed on PC's (Windows) as well as on Thin Clients (Windows and Linux).
